Entrepreneurial Development Foundation (EDF)
(Founded in 1999, Lebanese Registered Charity No.72/AD) The Entrepreneurial Development Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that promotes entrepreneurship among the less privileged in Lebanon’s rural areas and needy neighborhoods of big cities. The EDF’s objective is to assist in the improvement of the county’s overall socio-economic well-being by providing its beneficiaries with:

  • BOOST LOCAL ECONOMY BY ACCELERATING BUSINESS CYCLES

  • IMPROVE SYNERGY BETWEEN NGOS AND STACKHOLDERS FOR A HIGHER IMPACT

  • STIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND CREATING JOBS FOR A BETTER SOCIAL STABILITY

  • RAISE AWARENESS TO SUPPORT INITIATIVES THROUGH FINANCIAL INCLUSION

The Business Loan Program has been developed to support the trainees and other applicants to get a loan and give them one, in order to start their own businesses or to develop their existing ones.

Has been developed in order to provide the trainees with adequate knowledge of how to plan and run their businesses successfully and efficiently.

Basic Training Session

Capacity building:
o Digital Marketing (social media)
o Ecommerce
o Financial inclusion, etc

Vocational training:
o Tourism,
o Agriculture,
o Computer, etc

EDF choose the under developed businesses and promising start-ups to receive in-kind grants.

The selection criteria takes into consideration the viability of the projects, growth potential of the business and commitment of owner.
